Graphs and Data Worksheets for Children
Build confidence with collecting, organising and interpreting information using Edhed Learning graphs and data resources. Visual teaching pages introduce ways to display data clearly, while matching worksheets give children practice reading charts, comparing values and answering questions based on evidence.
Start with simple sorting and tallying so learners understand where the data comes from. Then move into pictograms, tables, bar-style displays or other graph formats used in the individual resources. Encourage children to read the title and labels before answering a question, identify the scale where relevant and explain which piece of data supports their answer.
Turn data into reasoning
Graphs and data combine calculation with reading comprehension. They link naturally to Numbers & Counting, Addition & Subtraction and Word Problems. For measurement-based data, also explore Measurement. The main Maths collection contains the wider set of related resources.
After completing a worksheet, ask the learner to create one new question that could be answered from the same graph. This checks whether they understand the display rather than only following a fixed question pattern.
Frequently asked questions
Do the resources cover every type of graph? Individual packs focus on different data skills; check the product description for exact content.
