When it comes to college acceptance, we assume that Blacks are a homogeneous group (“Racial Discrimination and Harvard’s Invidious Boxes,” The Wall Street Journal, Aug. 23). Asians and Hispanics are seen much more as individuals, depending on which country they came from. As long as Blacks continue to be considered differently, little will change in college admissions policies.
